If you like triadic harmony, you will love "Teach Me Thy Ways". There are no harmonic surprises in this anthem. When I showed this anthem to Don Hinshaw, he encouraged me to add some rhythmic variation to the accompaniment. So I did. The choral writing is mostly homophonic, with a little bit of "branching out" in the middle section. The piece works better with piano than with organ and the choir does have its moment of a capella glory. This is a fairly effective piece and easy to boot. Watch the pronunciation of all those eeee's, ie Teach, me etc..
